Juan Luis Goenaga’s artwork will be another protagonist in Woody Allen’s new film, “Rifkin’s Festival”, which will have its world premiere at the opening of the next San Sebastian International Film Festival.
The filmmaker selected the paintings of the expressionist-materialistic painter from San Sebastian to reproduce scenes yet to be revealed.
For the shooting, part of the library, 130 canvases, material and painting tools were moved in order to reproduce the studio that the painter has in the town of Alkiza, Gipuzkoa.
In addition, his work will be shown in the prestigious Kubo-Kutxa Fundazioa hall, in an exhibition that will cover five decades of his career, available between the 4th of September 2020 and the 10th of January 2021.
